In mid-February, School Captain Edith Kettle and Cricket Captain Phoebe Loader were selected for the second consecutive year to represent the NSWCIS team at the NSW PSSA Girls Primary Cricket Championships in Armidale – a significant achievement and a testament to their continued dedication and performance in cricket.
Across the four days of the Championships, the CIS team delivered an impressive performance, winning four of their five pool games.
The team showed great consistency, teamwork and determination throughout the tournament, competing strongly against some of the best primary school cricketers from across New South Wales. In the 3rd and 4th playoff, the team capped off a successful carnival with an outstanding performance, cruising to an 83-run victory against Sydney North to secure 3rd place in the 14-team championship.
Both Edith and Phoebe contributed positively to the team across the week, representing their school and region with pride, excellent sportsmanship and leadership. Their selection in the CIS team for a second consecutive year is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the time, effort and passion they both bring to the sport.
We congratulate Edith and Phoebe on their achievements and look forward to following their future cricket success.
