NAPLAN - our results are strong

May 15 2012

With my focus on the NAPLAN debate emphasising concerns about the negative impact of high-stake testing, it is important we highlight our results are strong.  We don't teach to the test.  We give great breadth.  Our value-added reflects a sensible approach bears good results when you consider growth over time.

I stress, NAPLAN is only one element.  We use assessment in all its guises - Assessment OF Learning, Assessment FOR Learning, and Assessment AS Learning.
