Confidence and Compassion

At Tudor House we strive to build confidence without arrogance, in a caring and supportive open environment.

Holistic Education

At Tudor, we view education holistically - meaning we strive to develop the whole child. This means we endeavour to focus on academic, social and emotional well-being. We develop specific programmes to maximise our influence on our young boys' minds, hearts and hands.

Developing Minds

As an independent school, we harness philosophies from wide-educational contexts, integrating key ideas from educational theories:Montessori, Reggio Emilia , Steiner/Waldorf, Harkness, Sudbury.

We also research and integrate the latest directions from different States and nations that are leading advances in learning and teaching: Finland, USA, United Kingdom.

And we integrate the rapid changes in technology and e-learning to develop systems and programmes that are truly unique. Tudor cares to make a difference.

A New Model of Learning

To this end, we focus on a model of Learning that has been specifically developed for Tudor House and has been published in the headmaster's recent book: Thriving at School.

Boys learn differently...

Tudor House was founded on an holistic approach, educating the whole boy. We have a specialised focus on educating boys at the primary school level. We believe that the younger years are the ones that matter most. Boys, on the whole, do learn differently. Too often it is during the younger years that we hear of boys 'misbehaving', being 'immature', or 'lacking concentration'. We give back to boys the right to be boys, accepting that boys need space, boys need challenges, boys need to be active learners. We understand boys.
