Tradition is our Foundation
The school has always been the most important means of transferring the wealth of tradition from one generation to the next."
- Albert Einstein
Tudor House has been around for a long time, establishing a tradition that continues today. We treasure our links with the past - and the boys, as a result, build a sense of pride and an understanding of their "moment in time". Few schools have this link. Once an Old Tudorian, friendships persist for the rest of our boys' lives. There is a loyalty that is unique to this school. Prep school boarding fosters a lifetime of close friendships. The network is a web of rich associations.
Established in 1897, Tudor House moved from Sydney to its present rural site in 1902. The founder (Mr Wilfred Inman) wanted the school to educate the whole boy. He believed that there needed to be rigorous classroom programmes, an opportunity for boys to be boys, the chance to learn about and appreciate the environment and to be able to serve their community with honesty, integrity and courage.
The qualities we continue to develop in the present generation of boys attending Tudor House are based on traditional values. It is never too young to learn these skills and the school expects all boys from Kindergarten to Year 6 to be caring, thoughtful, inquisitive and to serve others. The school also encourages boys to be boys and to enjoy the challenges of their youth.
