Tudor House is the only Primary boys boarding school in Australia.
We are the only Independent stand-alone primary school boys boarding and day school in Australia. Tudor House prepares boys for secondary high school boarding at leading Sydney Independent schools, such as Cranbrook, Shore, Scots, St Joseph's, Riverview, Barker, Knox and King's.
Our focus is on educating the whole child. We are different. We are unique.
We care for primary school boarders and day students near Sydney, situated in the Southern Highlands near Bowral, Mittagong and close to Moss Vale.
Caring as a Family...

Boarding at Tudor House is based on the principle that it should act as an extension of the child's family. The House has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere which provides a happy and structured environment for boarders and their families.
At Tudor House, we strongly believe our House offers boys brothers. As such it should be fun and social. The facilities and opportunities it offers boys are wide-ranging. In today's world, boarding school for primary boys is a caring service of which we are very proud. One fundamental factor lies at the heart of all we do, which is that we are sharing a great joy - the development and life of a child.
Who looks after our boys?
Tudor House is a caring school. As a result, we provide excellent support for all our boys. We appreciate the needs of boarders and have a large and supportive staff who work together to give our boys a happy, caring and supportive environment.
Senior Boarding Master - Mr Stuart McIntosh: married to Sally, lives on site and recently has the new addition of Gabrielle. He works tirelessly to retain open communication and caring support for all our boarders' families. Stuart manages the Boarding House.
Assistant House Master - Mrs Jo Ismay: Year 6 teacher with the patience of a saint. Lives on site in a flat beside the McIntosh family.
House Mother - Ms Barbara Murray: a caring and calm mum who cares for the boys, looking after uniform and clothes and organising beds. Lives on site in a flat to one end of the boarding house.
Weekend Supervisor - Mr Chris Canute: a father who cares for the boys on the weekends, organising sport, trips and activities. Mr Canute has an interest in drama, managing his own acting troupe during the week, which suits this position! He has a calm and open manner whose fairness in caring for the boys has established a strong rapport with all our community.
Nurse - Mrs Shirley Jones: a registered nurse who manages our hospital (yes, we have a hospital on site!).
Weekend Assistant Supervisor - Mr Trevor Newton: a secondary Science teacher with over 20 years of experience has recently joined our team. He brings with him an interest in getting the boys engaged in lifelong learning, including introducing electronics and environmental projects, such as wind turbines, solar energy, recycling and conservation.
Prep Assistants - Ms Lynette Ray, Miss Lizzie Goodfellow and Mr Sam Goodfellow. They support our boys in their prep (homework) and settle them down for bed every weekday evening.
School Teachers - Tudor House benefits greatly from all of its caring staff. We draw on the expertise of our teachers for more support every weekday and weekend based on a roster system. Our teachers give generously and graciously, offering amazing experiences and opportunities.
Catering staff - the boys are well-fed and thankful to have our catering staff supervising and caring for their nutrition. We are concerned with our boys' nutrition and, as a result, have employed a nutritionist to work with our team to develop an optimal menu for learning and health. We are also working with local chef and identity, Mr Robin Murray, to develop our catering opportunities.
