"An affective teacher is an effective teacher"
Emotional Care - our School Counsellor
The school believes in developing a culture of care. At times things do not go to plan, and travesties befall all families. In such circumstances, Tudor House utilises the services of trained specialists. Tudor House employs Sister Anne Stanley as our School Counsellor. Anne works on site every Thursday and Friday, dealing with many issues for students, staff and families.
Pastoral Staff
Whereas all our classroom teachers are caring and attentive to the needs of the boys, we also have other links as well. House Masters, Boarding Master, Deputy Headmaster and Headmaster are all available to address needs as and when they arise. We ask that the first point of call should be the form master (classroom teacher).
Parent Resources
The School provides a library with books on a range of topics to assist parents in their important role of parenting and dealing with challenging issues. We also offer Parent Support Evenings, where staff run workshops to assist parents in understanding how we teach specific aspects of literacy and numeracy.
